Church Bible Study

One of the greatest instruments of God’s grace in our lives is His word. Because that’s true, we gather every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary (our regular meeting place) to study a book of the Bible, a few verses at a time. We read the context, pray, and then seek to ask and answer three different kinds of questions together: What does it say, what does it mean, and what does it mean for me or for us as a congregation? We also ask what the passage teaches about God, Jesus Christ, salvation, and the Christian life. The pastor leads by asking the questions, everyone is welcome to participate in offering answers and asking follow-up questions. It’s a great way to not only learn a particular passage of Scripture but also to learn for yourself how to ask the right questions of any biblical text so that you can study it more fruitfully in your own personal reading. The study starts promptly at 7 p.m. and ends promptly at 8 p.m.
